Daughtrey Elementary Learning Walks-
Learning Walks are brief, organized classroom visits through a school, using specific criteria to focus on teaching and learning. Learning Walks provide educational leaders opportunities to reflect on classroom, grade level, grade-bands, and school-wide trends.
The information collected from Learning Walks is to expand school capacity. It allows for reflective processing on beliefs, goals, practices, and instructional decision-making within the school, which fosters a school-wide climate of inquiry. The reflective questioning stimulates collegiate conversations about current teaching and learning trends, gathers data, focuses attention toward new teaching, gleans learning insights, and provides a springboard for intentional professional development.
